I hope you are well and enjoying life to the fullest. I am working on an unusual project and I would appreciate your help. I have two close friends that are going through a lot of pain right now and I am hoping to help them work through their problems with more ease and grace.  I'm creating an ebook with advice and stories from people who have done what they're doing. I have a feeling that this ebook will turn into a real published book after all the stories are in and the final adjustments have been made. This is a book that may appeal to a lot of people. It seems quite strange to me that in this day and age we still haven't had a woman or a black as president. At least we may get one of them soon. I thought we had fought all the prejudice battles when I was younger. I thought by now people everywhere would be free to live their lives in peace. And yet when I drive down the street and see Africans in full native dress, and Eastern European families on their way to church, and wave at six different nationalities on my own block, I realize that we have come a long way even if there are still areas that need improvement. One of my friends is a work mate. He is getting divorced from his wife. They haven't lived together in years. He has to visit his six year old daughter mostly on the weekends. He doesn't know how to tell her why he can't live with her anymore. My other friend is from Utah. He moved to Portland after college and tried hanging out with friends he'd known a long time. He's kind of intense and ended up sabotaging every relationship he ever started just before it got intimate. He recently moved to San Diego without ever letting his friends and family just accept him for who he is. The working title for my project is How To Come Out: Stories and Advice from People Who Have Been There. I'm asking that anyone that has anything to say on this subject to send me their stories. This project could help people a lot. The plan at this point is to have stages. I hope that everyone that wants to send a story does so in the next two weeks. If I have enough I'll put out version one. Then two weeks from then I will see what I've got and do the second version. I want to have a wide variety of aspects. I'd like to get some funny as well as serious entries. It would be really wonderful if you could share your experiences. All we really have in this life is each other. If you would like to participate please send me your stories. As many as you like. Include how you would like your stories credited. A bio would be great if you feel like it.
